To start with, Tanth, now very much a lich, was sealed in a stone coffin and disappeared. (Sorry about that!) As it turns out, the coffin was taken by the Princess Nanami (sp?) and her Wujen lady. Going to have to go back to reclaim it.
We ended up venturing deeper into the crypt in hopes of finding her to instead by greeted by Olidimarra ("Didn't you used to have bad asthma?" Grom asked) where we, of course, played the damn dice game but managed to get out of that with only good presents. From there, we met up with a druid who doesn't have a memory, including his own name that we have decided to call "Bob".
As we were heading towards a town, Nicole/Lydia/Empress of Knotaman Empire, fell through a hole that landed us in a very magical house of a goblin inventory. She managed to acquire a "treasure magnet" that buried itself in her skin and draws any and all loot directly to her. We fumbled about the place for a while and did, finally, manage to reach the exit. Honestly, not much of importance happened while we were there apart from receiving a certain amount of loot and an orb of darkness that may very well substitute for a bottle of darkness. The goblin inventory looks familiar, but no real conclusions could be drawn.
We got back to town and booked a room in the inn where, going through the loot Nicole came up with, we found a genie. Apart from wishing for Margarita Island (a combination Kingdom, Water Park, and Margarita stand) and knowing the location of Tanth/Jurenda, I decided to wish to know everything that had occurred in the time since I had died:
Kent and Tanth have been dead somewhere between 200 and 300 years. The Kent and Tanth we saw in physical form in Joustin are a combination of machine and illusion crafted by Mel and Thala. As to whether or not these creations still exist is up for debate. In the first year since death, technology took a sudden step back and all the gods disappeared.
Thala and Mel'Nuitt "died of old age" for the sake of keeping up appearances with the general public.
I've been asked to consider the following questions:
Who hired the orc necromancy to bring us back from the dead?
Who, exactly, is the beguiler we are keeping company with?
Who was that goblin inventor we met?
And what about that paladin I'm supposed to find?
I may be receiving bits and pieces of the history over time. In the interim, I'm currently passed out and bleeding from the ears and nose with a temporary wisdom, fortitude, and will save of 0 (yay!).
I'm still debating if I made a good or poor decision...
